The service sector is considered as one of the country’s primary tools for economic growth. According to the National Economic and Development Authority, the service sector can give significant contributions to the country’s inclusive growth. Aside from the employment and export earnings it provides, it also allows economic transformation through inter-sectoral connections. Sectors connected to the service sector include agriculture, manufacturing, and retail trading.

The service sector is expected to grow further because of the country’s economic development plan. 

Businesses in the service sector provide facilities, amenities, and assistances to customers. This includes financial services, travel and tourism, health and wellness, computer and printing shops, and public transportation services.
